How Nature Helps Us Do Our Best Work

I share a lot with you about all the things I do in nature and all the time I spend in nature - whether it's big trips full of adventure or daily moments that bring me back to center. I have found that nature has a profound effect on my mental well-being but also on my ability to think big, solve problems and help my clients. It's why I include a nature walk in every 5-hour session with clients. It's why I bake in two outdoor activities for every VIP weekend. And the research backs it up!

Several recent studies have shown that time spent in nature directly impacts our ability to do amazing work. Research shows that people who spend more time outdoors are not only calmer and healthier but also smarter and more successful inside the office and in their businesses.

A few of the most compelling reasons to step away from your office and get outside:

1. Improves Short Term Memory

2. Sparks Inspiration

3. Decreases Stress Levels

4. Increases Concentration Skills

5. Boosts Positivity

6. Enhances Creative Functions

7. Increases Mindfulness

Now you see why I include nature in every big project I work on with clients. It is essential to get outside when thinking big and working through places where a business is stuck. We work hard, spend time outside, and always come back to the same problems with a different perspective and clear solutions that we didn't have before we stepped away to spend time outdoors.

For many of entrepreneurs, days packed with calls and meetings can mean the very idea of stepping away from our desks and getting outside for a break feels impossible. I encourage you to start with a little time every day and see what shifts. It has been profound for me and every one of my clients.

Get outside! It will change the game for you. Promise.
